It is also is up to the Friends of the Library to encourage donations, gifts, endowments and bequest. With these monies the Friends can increase the services and facilities of the library .<br /><br />The Friends of the Library also raises money through membership dues and fundraisers. With these monies the friends can provide special programs and projects , help provide extra resources for the library that are not in the operational budget for the library , sponsor special projects and provide other services that may be helpful to the library.<br /><br />The Board meets once a month at the library . Current board members include Reubin Smith, George Walker, Charles White, Charles Reid, Lois McMurchy, Kelly Connell, Sarah-Crisler-Ruskey, Nathan Harris, Steven Jossell, Jane Longino, Florine Miller, Babs Sweat and Virginia Schafer.
